Dear
Friends,
My wife and I enrolled our children in St. John Greek
Orthodox Day School three years ago and we have never
looked back. Each day we continue to be impressed with
the strong curriculum, the outstanding faculty, and
especially the family environment, which makes our
children look forward to going to school.
Realistically however, we are at a pivotal moment at
St. John Greek. The existing classrooms are much too
small for today's broad curriculum. And like all the
other private schools in Tampa, the time for renewal is
here.
We are embarking on the challenge of constructing a
new two-story classroom building, which will provide
spacious, high-tech classrooms, and a library/media
center for which we can all be proud. But that is only
half the story. The other half is about how our
students, through our new facility, will be able to soar
to even greater heights.
It is important that all of us join together to make
this campaign a success. Please consider a generous
contribution to the future of our school.

From 1967 to today, St. John Greek Orthodox Day School
has provided an excellent academic program in a
nurturing, Christian-based environment for grades
K3-8.But ask yourself: Does our classroom building say,
"Come on in and see the great things that are
happening here on a daily basis"? Perhaps not.
Visitors often tell us that the facility seems too
small in comparison with other private schools in Tampa
or we hear our parents telling prospective families to
"look beyond the facility." This cannot
continue if the school is to prosper.
Despite all the wonderful aspects of the St. John
Greek program, our classroom building is no longer
adequate. To attract and retain students in a market
where most other schools have undergone significant
building construction and renovations, we must move
forward with the construction of a beautiful new,
two-story building with 14 classrooms and a
library/media center.
