This lesson was written specifically for seventh grade students, who study Western Europe extensively. It could be adapted for grades 6 and up, depending upon students’ knowledge of the subject and the technology involved.

Ideally, students working on this WebQuest would have:

• Some prior knowledge of the country they choose
• Some experience using Microsoft Excel or another spreadsheet program
• Previous experience using a desktop publishing program
• Familiarity navigating the Internet before beginning this lesson
